This topic describes how to couple Microsoft Dynamics NAV records with Microsoft Dynamics CRM records. The coupling enables users to view Microsoft Dynamics CRM records from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV client and Microsoft Dynamics CRM records from Microsoft Dynamics NAV records. You can use this procedure to couple a Microsoft Dynamics NAV record to an existing record in Microsoft Dynamics CRM or create and couple to a new record. The coupling also enables you to synchronize data between the records.
To couple a record
In the Microsoft Dynamics NAV client, open the record card, such as a customer or contact.
You can also just open the list page and select the record that you want to couple.
On the Navigate tab, in the Dynamics CRM group, choose Coupling, and then choose Set Up Coupling.
Fill-in the fields, and then choose the OK button.
To synchronize a single record
In the Microsoft Dynamics NAV client, open the record, such as a customer or contact.
On the Navigate tab, in the Dynamics CRM group, choose Synchronize Now.
If a record can be synchronized either from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics CRM or from Microsoft Dynamics CRM to Microsoft Dynamics NAV, select the option that specifies the direction of data update, and then choose the OK button.
To synchronize multiple records
In the Microsoft Dynamics NAV client, open the list page for the record, such as the customers or contacts.
Select the records that you want to synchronize.
On the Navigate tab, in the Dynamics CRM group, choose Synchronize Now.
If records can be synchronized either from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics CRM or from Microsoft Dynamics CRM to Microsoft Dynamics NAV, select the option that specifies the direction of data update, and then choose the OK button.
